Zilco Elite Harness is popular for horses of sturdier proportions. It has heavier strapping and parts to suit larger animals. The wide load bearing surfaces of the breastplate, girth, saddle and breeching are well suited to heavy carriages and extreme working conditions. It has the core strength to withstand the rigours of marathon and tough competition or working conditions. The traces buckle into the breastplate in the traditional style. Popular for both commercial driving and driving trials. Elite parts are intechangable throughout the size range and combinations.

Avaliable in Cob, Full and Extra full size in combinations of Single, Pair and Team.

Specifications:

• Bridle – Winker stays with adjustable wire core, hanging adjustable noseband. Strap widths 19mm
• Breastplate – Width 100mm with buckles for traces.
• False martingale – Padded with clip ends.
• Wither strap – rein terret position adjustable.
• Traces – D ends, width 50mm
• Saddle Pad – Width 125mm with detachable pads.
• Breeching – Double hip strap 19mm wide for cob and 25mm wide for full and extra full size
• Breeching seat – Width 80mm
• Reins – Zilco z grip reins
• Girth – Shaped and padded with PVC waffle, soft keepers.
•  Tugs – Single harnesses come with Quick release tugs.

Zilco Elite Harness is a heavy weight harness in a traditional style. Approximate weights per horse are 11.75kg for cob, 12.5kg full and 13.5kg for extra full. Each set of elite harness is supplied with sturdy harness bag.

Combinations:

• Single with fixed back band for use with 4 wheeler carriages with independent shafts or all in one shafts
• Pairs, comes with Quick release polestraps. (Can be requested without breeching)
• Team, comes with Quick release polestraps, coupling strap and roger rings. Figure of 8 terret on wheeler saddle pads as standard, central wheeler terrets can be requested instead. (Can be requested without wheeler breeching)

2 single sets can be converted to pairs use with the following items: Pairs reins, 2 x Elite pairs breastplates, 2 x pairs breeching side straps, 2 x loose buckles and a set of polestraps.

Likewise half a pairs set can be converted to single use by the addition of the following items: Single reins, 1 x Elite single breastplate, 1 x pair of single breeching straps and a pair of Quick release tugs.
