East Sussex area BDS have been invited to put on a display of carriage driving at the Firle International Horse Trials and Country Fair, Lewes, East Sussex, BN8 6NS on Sunday, 19th August 2018. The event will take place within the 80 acre grounds of Firle Park and will have a separate ring away from the main show specifically to use.
To this end East Sussex BDS are looking to put on a small parade of harness horses and are looking for a varied mix of vintage (trade, leisure and commercial), replica and modern vehicles. They are also keen to showcase a variety of turnouts and are looking for singles, pairs, tandem, team, and unicorn turnouts.
They are looking for members from outside of East Sussex area as well to take part. You and your horse need to be used to driving in mixed company. Rosettes will be given to all turnouts. This is a free event and you will get entrance to the Country Fair too.

They will then contact you to let you know if you can be included in the parade. They need to know by 1st July 2018 at the latest if you are interested in attending.
This is not a BDS event but it is a marvellous opportunity to showcase and promote carriage driving (and the BDS) to an equine audience.
